Reincarnation of an old broken garden shear
Someone tried to sharpen unprofessionally this old garden shear and ground the blade inside, assumingly with an angle grinder.

As this shear was no longer suitable for its original task, it would end up in a scrapyard or worse in the landfill.
Old shears like this made from good quality carbon steel, so I decided to save the metal and give the blades a second chance and reincarnate in the shape of sheath knives.

After cutting and shaping they got hardened and heat treated. Handle made from some garage find Iroko with brass pins and tube, treated with Danis oil.

The next job to make some nice matching leather sheaths (holster).
